Long Weekends 2017 Calendar

We’re all weekend warriors. And every long weekend is one where we rejoice! While 2016 wasn’t very kind to us in terms of holidays (who would have expected Labour Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Diwali and Christmas to fall on a Sunday!), 2017 is more than making up for it.

The next year is packed with 14 long weekends 2017 for all the holidays including two nine-day bonanzas—one in August and the other in October. Now is when you get started with the preparation for all your long road trips!

January 2017

Check out trips in and around 300km-400kms from your location.Stay over on 25th Feb at the destination and take some time off to explore the sights and sounds. You could also try a road trip in north India by flying down to the biggest city and take a self drive and head out.

This is also a time when the religious fervour is at a high. Check out routes and road trips to the Jyotirlingas (Bhimashankar, Ujjain etc to name a few)

Consider: Amritsar for Baisakhi (14 Apr); Mahabaleshwar for the Mapro Strawberry Festival (Easter weekend). If the passes open, Ladakh might also be doable during this time. Don’t miss Tso Moriri which is far less crowded compared to Pangong Tso.
