1.Ladakh

Nestled between the Himalayas, and bordered by Tibet to the east, Himachal Pradesh to the south, Jammu and Kashmir and Baltistan to the west, and Karakoram Pass in the far north, this place gives an adrenalin rush like none other.

Ladakh means the land of high passes. Its rough terrains and natural beauty have made it an admirable destination for adventure lovers from across the world. Ladakh has an average elevation of around 10,000 feet above sea level and has a cold arid climate. Despite this, the place is enjoyable and is definitely among the top destinations for adventure in India.

For those who enjoy adventure sports, Archery and Polo are famous here. An entire festival is organized during summers to enjoy a healthy competition of Archery, and people come in teams from neighboring villages to participate. Unlike the usual game of Polo, in Ladakh, it is a game of the common man. Almost every village has a polo ground and every Ladakhi plays it.

Places of interest include Leh, Pangong Lake, Tso Moriri Lake, Nubra Valley, Khardungla Pass to name a few. The best time to visit Ladakh is from April to June. The climate is just right for a great holiday. So plan your memorable adventure trip now.
