Dilpreet Kaur Dua

AVP – Sales

Dilpreet completed one year with ScoutMyTrip in February 2020. The last one year has been quite a ride with this lovely soul. Dilpreet is the most articulate team members; and a skill that greatly helps her in the work she does for us.

From managing customer expectations to ensuring they have a good time, and to managing other team members; it is impossible to say no when she asks for work to be done. It is one of the qualities of a leader in the making. From keeping everyone together and involved in the process; Dilpreet epitomizes team work with solid leadership.

Dilpreet is a cancer survivor and a living symbol of what strength of a woman can do; and how moving mountains is actually very easy for her. She does it every day as a full time mom too! Add to that, she’s a Bhangra dancer; and her kids are not too far behind – Mandiira and Bickram are the pillars in her life which keep her on her toes; and living life to the fullest.

Oh! She’s still discovering one new talent every day; the last being making everyone around her act like a child. She’s the biggest kid around in the team, and she’s not relenting till everyone has found the hidden kid inside of us.

Latika Shrivastava

Content Writer

Latika Srivastava

Doting mother of two balances motherhood and writing like a pro. She has a way with words and writing helps her break away from the monotony of life by giving her freedom of expression through words.

Happy faces, bright smiles and practical minds interest and attract her the most apart from a hot cup of chai. We love working with Latika because she does all this and still manages to write some of the most popular articles on the blog. Being a mom is a full time as is, and her dedication to perfection, motivates us all.

One of the reasons why we also brought her on board is because she enjoys travelling and spends maximum time reading and dreaming about destinations on her bucket list. All the things we love too!

Miral Naik

Content Writer and Podcaster

Miral or Myra like she calls herself and also introduces herself in our hit podcast series – Mark and Embark enjoy sunsets, sunshiny beaches, dark chocolate, and cheese boards. This should paint a pretty good picture in your head as to what she is like. But wait, she’s a whole lot more!

Myra has been with us for more than one year now, has great command over English and the spoken word. She’s very articulate in her words and she’s also a great researcher. Give her any topic, and she would be able to dish out the best words can carry! Myra has been a great asset to the blog and our content marketing efforts. She’s also one of the reasons why our podcast got the recognition that it has. We found out that, listeners were more interested because of her lovely voice!

Myra also writes about food, self-love, inner beauty, simplicity, quality products, skincare, hair care, food, finding fun things to do, the little joys, in her attempt to live a more fulfilling life in general.

A good book keeps her happy for days. She is also an aspiring plant mommy and a Bollywood lover, and proud of it!

Paripsa Pandya

Paripsa likes writing about every single thing that she wishes to remember forever. Lucky that we have her on board because she can really write well! Documenting memories through words is her passion.

Paripsa has also lent her voice to the podcast for the third season, and you can feel the energy when she starts speaking into the mic. Do check some of her episodes on Mark and Embark

For Paripsa food, travel and meaningful conversations with happy souls makes her life interesting. And hopefully ScoutMyTrip also features in there somewhere!

Learning everyday and growing everyday is the reason why we admire her so much. She loves traveling and travel planning which is why she is also a Scout on ScoutMyTrip. She’s the self proclaimed ‘Monica Geller of travel planning’!

Shalini Mimani

Content Writer

Shalini Mimani

Shalini and ScoutMyTrip go a long way back. She joined us in April 2018 in a role of business development. It would be right to say, that Shalini used to keep everyone on their toes with her on point follow ups. Some of our earliest business deals were led from the front by Shalini.

We discovered a lot more about this really amazing personality over the months she worked with us before taking a break, and then moving into content writing. She’s a great singer and loves her music! Shalini loves travel & adventures, photography (she’s brilliant at it btw and you should follow her on Instagram if not already!)

Shalini has donned many hats in her career. From being a finance professional, to sales, marketing – give her any thing to do and she figures a way to shine at it. It’s not often that you meet such dynamic personalities. We’re very privileged and honoured to have her with us.

Srujana Vuppuluri

Content Writer and PR

Srujana Vuppuluri

Having a graduate from MICA, who could spin words into emotions was a no-brainer for us. Srujana came on board when we had just about started ramping up our media and PR outreach with publications.

With experience having worked in agencies before, dealt with content marketing and the like, it was a great asset to have her with us. But the one thing that stands out among all the skills she brings to ScoutMyTrip is the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. It’s uncanny how Srujana goes over and beyond to deliver in ridiculously short dead lines. We’re to blame for that, but she never complained and we have no words! Only please forgive us!

But mind you, she cups us on our toes too because she is not someone who can do the same thing everyday.

Srujana goes by the name NewMommyInTown, with a 2 year old daughter!

Sunaina Aiyappa

AVP – Marketing and PR

Sunaina Aiyappa with her son Shivaan

Sunaina was a wild card when we brought her on board. An English teacher in her last role, the only thing we knew about her was that she wanted to learn. A teacher who wanted to learn, got us thinking. And we interviewed her while she was still in Ladakh where her husband (who is in the Indian Army) was posted. One call was enough to figure how she could add value to the team.

A mom and army wife, Sunaina has been integral to the meteoric rise of ScoutMyTrip’s digital presence. From simply posting online, to working on a content marketing strategy was a big leap for us. So big, that we grew our digital presence two fold in less than a quarter of Sunaina having joined us.

Sunaina brings the energy to the team whenever we need it. From times, when we’re beat to times when we’re upbeat; she knows the right things to say every time for the team to take the world head on. The one thing we all learned from her is that asking questions is a good thing. Never to think twice before asking a question and what the team would think about her; she’s made us think every time when giving an answer too. So far the hit rate has been 50% – times we didn’t know the answer.

She goes by the name Su, Normal Drama (her instagram handle). This one’s a keeper! And oh! She loves road trips too!

Uma Shashi Das

Manager – Partnerships and Alliances

Uma Shashi Das (Tina)

Our newest member, who has been with us for all of three months at the time of writing this article. She loves being called by her nickname which is ‘Tina’. Tina manages our relations with travel agents. One of the core values of ScoutMyTrip is to support the travel ecosystem. One of the cogs in this wheel are travel agents; who fulfill all the customer bookings and delivering great value on cost and service.

What we love about Tina is her never say no attitude. Whenever we have given her a challenge, she has only come back with solutions. The default setting for most people, is “No” or “It is too difficult”. With Tina, it’s yes! Every time. That is one of the reasons why we have learned so much from her. Quick to jump into discussions; she always sees what we tend to miss. Such is the simplicity of our newest team member who brings the most amount of maturity .

Tina is mom to Devanshi whose nickname is Tia. And her guiding inspiration is her husband – Dipankar Das.

Upasna Jaiswal

Consultant – Travel Experiences

Upasna Jaiswal

Upasna is a fire cracker. That is the only way to describe this lovely soul who joined us in November 2019. Straight from Dubai, she is back to the place she grew up in and loves. A 100% Bandra girl – she loves her shopping, street food, chocolates and all things nice.

To say we have learned a thing or two from Upasna (Upsi to all of us) would be a grave injustice. We’ve learned a lot! If there was one carefree person around, it would be Upsi. Never cared for what the world (or the team!) thinks about all the little cute things she keeps doing at work. A diligent worker, one can find her responding to customers at midnight and even 5AM in the mornings. Some times we wonder, when she sleeps!

When she joined the team, we were amazed how loud she can get. But every passing day, we’ve only grown to love this about Upsi.

A very hard working team member, Upsi ensures customers have a good time when they trust their money with us. She brings in all the pieces together – the customer, the Scout, the travel agent and the operations team .

In the words of Helen Keller “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much” holds true for us as a team. Even with most of these women working from remote setups and with enough on their platter, we’ve managed to work hard together and make ScoutMyTrip a very sought after travel planner for everyone.

Lastly, we’d like to wish each one of you a very Happy Women’s Day! May there be more adventures, solo trips and travel stories in the years to come.
