Camping by Chandubi lake

Post by royalenfielder » Wed Dec 27, 2017 3:38 pm

Hello!

Well this exactly isn't a place off the highway but its one of those gems you would like to road trip to in Assam. But one of our scouts @getravelled came up with an interesting place to road trip to, and not just for those in Assam.

The lake is one of the popular places to visit in Assam for birdwatchers. Migratory birds traveling towards the south are a common sight here. Check out more about this place in the blog post @aparajita1 wrote Road Trip to Chandubi Lake

Do you know other lake side camping sites in India? Let us know, and we'd love to add to ScoutMyTrip!

A friend of mine just got back from a work trip in Assam! She went for a boat ride on the Chandubi lake and loved it.. She says it's a great place for a day trip with friends and the drive from Guwahati is quite scenic! :)

Her photos reminded me of the photos from the Highest Blogger Meet when all of you camped near Pangong Tso! I believe we have a photo in this post written by @samarth_636364 : https://scoutmytrip.com/blog/highest-bl ... -scout-ii/

I've read your post on Chandubi lake trip and I'm sure staying at one of the lagoons will be an experience in itself! What say @getravelled ?

All I can say is it's an unmatched experience. This is not a place for location hunting but for someone who wants to experience silence, serenity, pure nature, lip smacking ethnic Assamese cuisine will never return unsatisfied.
