Post by urvesh.bhatt » Wed Jan 17, 2018 1:01 pm

Hi Scout's

I am planning my solo trip to Udaipur during this coming long weekend.
I need some suggestions planning my trip. I will be mostly traveling by local transport to explore places.

Please suggest me the way ahead with some awesome suggestions.

Visit Ambrai Ghat in the evening, the lighting of City Palace look amazing from here and very less people know about this place as it goes through a maze of small streets.

Don't forget to include Kumbhalgarh in your itinerary -- longest wall in India and second longest in the world after the Great Wall of China.

I have not finalized yet by I am planning to book Heritage Haveli.
If you have some good recommendation at lake Pichola than do let me know.

Hey! If you are still looking for a place to stay, you can check out Jaiwana Haveli too. It's right near the lake and their dining room is on the terrace. So you get amazing views during meals. My parents had stayed there for 2 nights during their trip in September 2014. They have lake facing rooms which my mom had loved. The place doesn't have a lift though.

The one thing I had loved when I went to Udaipur was grabbing a cup of coffee in Oberoi Udaivilas. The resort is mindblowingly gorgeous and that was probably one of the most expensive coffees I have ever had. Nevertheless, for me getting to see the opulence and beautiful views from the palace was worth the price. In case you like Bollywood movies, this is where the second half of Yeh Jawani hai Diwani was shot, where Kalki gets married.

Have a great trip! Share your stories with us once you are back. :)
