Through the western ghats

Post by earthian » Thu Oct 26, 2017 8:33 pm

A couple of years back, we made a trip from Chennai to Ahmedabad, covering some National Parks and sanctuaries. We climbed up at Silent Vally and covered Annamalai, Bandipur, Nagarhole, Dandeli National parks and then down to Belgaum and back to Ahmedabad via Pune. We had originally planned to cover some more parks, but were tired by the time we finished Dandeli.

Thank you for your prompt action, yayawar. I do not seem to be able to centre the photographs on the Board, though i used [centre][/centre].
Tried spelling CENTER differently too. Same result. Suggest we have a thread for such questions and for reporting glitches. You could have a sticky with common questions and answers.

Hi @earthian

The BBCode to align text/images in centre wasn't exisitng. Have added it now. You can use the tag as you were trying or just click the button in the post toolbar for the same. Here's an example:

@earthian these pics are amazing, as an amatuer photographer myself, i would love to chat with you on your equipment.. What do you use? Body and Lens?
i did a tiger safari in bandhavgarh in the MP side of Pench national park where i was lucky enough to spot the tiger 8 -10 feet away, a mind blowing sight indeed! will post pics soon.

Thank you @dpakananth for your kind words. I use a Nikon D3s; 14-24mm f2.8; 24-70mm f 2.8; 70-200mm f2.8; 600mm f4; and some portrait lenses and TCs. I rather like this photo of a juvenile Oriental Honey Buzzard taken early in the morning at Ranthambhor:

And this one, again from Ranthambhor, is quite an unusual pose:

Hello @earthian ,

The reason the pic was appearing twice because the same image was placed inline twice and the second image was just attached to the post. By default, any attachment, not placed inline are displayed at the bottom of the post and hence.

Have edited and corrected the same. :)

Thank you Neeraj. Let me get familiar with this:

The image can be centered. :) But would have liked it bigger.

This too is fixed now. :) However, for the previous pictures, you'd need to delete the existing pics and re-upload as the server has already processed them. (I've done the same for the above post)
