@aditya_420360
Ajanta to aurangabad is single lane road with few bad patches and hevy traffic. In aurangabad you can visit "panchakki" "Bibi ka maqbara" "aurangabad caves behind Bibi ka maqbara.
On your way to ellora you can visit "Daulatabad fort" lord Hanuman-Bhadra maruti temple at khultabad. 12th jyotirlinga "Ghusuneshwar temple" near ellora caves and if you have time you can view awesome sunset at Mhaismal hill station 20 km from ellora ...

Thanks @prakash.takate , can you also suggest places to eat? I have tried Yalla Yalla which was very good for Mughlai and non veg.

@aditya_420360, I recommend you try and reach Ajanta caves from Mumbai soon so that you have time to relax. Head to Ajanta Caves foothills by around 830AM. This should take you around 2-3 hours after which you can head back to Aurangabad.

Here is a trip itinerary for you: Mumbai - Ajanta Caves - Aurangabad Road Trip Route and Plan

You can download the PDF of the itinerary here, by clicking on "Export". https://scoutmytrip.com/trip/detail/export?id=1869

@prakash.takate What is the best route to reach Ajanta from Mumbai? I have done it via Nashik the last time

@aditya_420360 from mumbai-Nashik-yeola-vaijapur-shivur bangla-devgaon rangari-pachpirwadi or ellora bypass -Khultabad-Phulambri-sillod-Ajanta.. if you are Non-Veg lover you can have awesome luch at "Ambika Hotel" in yeola at aurangabad road (Ask anyone in yeola about this hotel) it's a small joint but worth visiting and for rest attractions and food points please follow community thread "Attractions along Highways " "Dhabas on highways"
