Mumbai - Bhopal

Post by anchit_921459 » Thu Nov 09, 2017 7:18 pm

Hi,

Any guidance for a Mumbai Bhopal road trip for family?

It's 780 km almost, what are the good places to stop on the way?

Hi @anchit_921459 ,

I see that a Pune-Bhopal trip is already available on the Trips pages with a night halt at Dhule (alternatively, you can drive ahead and stay at Indore too). The only difference would be that since you're starting from Mumbai, you'd take the Nashik road to join the route at Chandwad.

Why don't you open the same trip, hit on "Customize Trip" button and amend it to suit your needs. It's easy to do. :)

Hey Anchit, @anchit_921459

For this trip, I am guessing you are going via Indore. When you start from Mumbai keep a note of the following pit stops:

1. Shahapura Food Court which has decent bath rooms and McDonalds too.
2. Manas Hotel - Igatpuri (for a quick loo break)
3. Hotel Manas (yes, same name) - Dhule for a loo break or lunch
4. Around 50-75 kms ahead of Dhule there is a Food Mall on the right side.
5. Dhamnod before Indore has a MPTDC Highway Motel, which has a decent restaurant too. Tip: It's 500m away from the highway ;)
6. Indore!

And once at Indore, it would be a crime if you do not visit the Sarafa.

You mean the jewellery market that turns into a chaupati in the evening? That's a foodie paradise! 👍

Spot on, yayawar. I in fact go to Indore ONLY to gorge on the delicacies there.

One of the fondest memories of Indore, is when @dpakananth , @samarth_636364 and I went on a bike trip to Indore in June last year. Only a couple of months after incorporating the company, the three of us went on a bike trip we fondly remember as 'Laundagiri' - three guys who had plans to spend a weekend in Saputara (Gujarat) who ended up in Indore. One of my favorite bike escapades of all time.
