We believe that road travel is the purest form of travel there is. Roads and paths take you to places that are not accessible by rail or airports. They take you through cultures, through cities, over rivers, through mountains and lets you explore the country the way nothing else can. At ScoutMyTrip, we believe that travel is an emotion that is inbred in each of us and we hope to bring that emotion to the fore.

While we love to travel, we are also many time constrained by various factors governing our daily life. Lack of time, necessity of safe and clean places to stay etc. We believe that technology as an enabler is what can help the traveler explore better and more effectively. At ScoutMyTrip, technology is the helper that shows you how to travel easier!

Without fellow travelers, the world wouldn’t be as exciting as it is now. Sharing precious nuggets of information that only a traveler will know and understand, sharing memories that make each trip that much more memorable, is possible only because the community helps to build the platform. Using technology is great, but getting up to date information from a fellow traveler is priceless.

During one of their many trips to explore, Deepak and Vineet ponder, why it is so difficult to get information about a journey. This 'Eureka' moment was the birth of ScoutMyTrip. They were as excited about this as Archimedes!

First off-site meeting of ScoutMyTrip at Theog - Let's go Road tripping

Three people - Deepak, Vineet and Neeraj, Strategy, Marketing and Technology, undertake a road trip to Theog, hole up in a resort for next three days and discuss the idea in detail, converting it to a requirement document which makes the basis of the product. No phones, no emails, no disturbance!

Beta Launch

ScoutMyTrip launches it's beta site and gains good traction with users, a select few, handpicked to try the system out. 200 trips created on the platform by users within one month of the beta launch.

Silicon valley accelerator - ZNationLabs select ScoutMyTrip for their incubation program.

Silicon valley accelerator - ZNationLabs select ScoutMyTrip for their incubation program.

ScoutMyTrip is selected as a part of the first cohort of 13 startups for mentorship by ZNationLabs. The only travel startup to be a part of this elite group. This intensive 8 week program helps us firm up on the business plans and various operational modes for SMT.

FICCI selects ScoutMyTrip as one of the Top 20 Travel Tech startups

One of the largest and the oldest apex business organization in the country - FICCI selects ScoutMyTrip as the top Travel Tech Startup of 2017. SMT chosen to present it's business case at their annual event at Delhi.

First International Roadtrip, B2B marketing campaign (OYO Nepal)

As a part of its B2B marketing campaigns, ScoutMyTrip takes a group of influencers from Delhi all the way to Kathmandu on the road. This hugely successful program was also the first B2B marketing campaign revenue for SMT. It was timed with the launch of OYO rooms in Nepal.

After successfully completing the bootcamp with ZNationLabs, ScoutMyTrip was chosen by the investment team to be one of the few startups for investment.

ScoutMyTrip creates a world record with #HighestBloggerMeet

As a marketing campaign, it doesn't get tougher than a blogger meet at the highest motorable point in the world. ScoutMyTrip took on this challenge and drove over 20 bloggers to Khardung-La in the Ladakh region for the campaign. This feat at such an altitude with low oxygen was recognised by India Book of Records as the Highest Bloggers Meet in the World.

Road Trippers travel for food especially when it is the sumptuous Biryani. 5 Bloggers, 2 experienced drivers, 5 states, 5 days and 60 plus Biryanis was the result of a unique property created by SMT , aptly called The Great Indian Food Trip.

January 2018

First B2C revenue starts

After testing out the system and numerous enhancements, ScoutMyTrip started its first revenue model in January 2018. Our first customer, planned a long trip from Mumbai to Kanyakumari on the platform and we generated our first B2C revenue!

Having successfuly built a community online, it was time to take the efforts offline. Enter RoadTrippersClub, a community of travellers enthused to explore places near their cities. It was to become such a success that a large Indian automotive major was ready to partner to grow this community pan india.

We open up our borders! Bolstered by the response to the Scout Program, we launch planning services for road trips to Nepal and Bhutan. Within the first month, we get get a ton of inquiries!

We hear what the community tells us! Based on feedback from customers and travellers, ScoutMyTrip revamps the planning engine. Adding AI like features that pre-empts and takes the customer through a step by step process to take their next road trip.

ScoutMyTrip selected as the Only Travel Startup by Maharashtra Government as part of #MahaStartupWeek 2019

A very proud moment where the Maharashtra State Government chose ScoutMyTrip from over 1500 startups as the only travel startup during the #MahaStartupWeek 2019. This gets SMT exposure to the state government initiatives and results in a work order from the govt for upto 15 lacs in an area of our choice!
