Thank you for visiting (the "WebApp") and using the services we make available through our WebApp. ScoutMyTrip Private Limited ("ScoutMyTrip" or "We") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy intends to inform you about how we treat information that is collected from you. Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our WebApp. By accessing or using this WebApp, you agree to this privacy policy. This policy may change from time to time (check Amendments, if any). Your continued use of this WebApp after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.

ScoutMyTrip Private Limited is a company incorporated in India under the Companies Act of 2013, India.


    User-Provided Information: When registering with us, we may collect your name, email, address, and date of birth. We may also allow you to log in through your Google Plus, Facebook or Twitter account. Please be aware that if you sign-in or share any information through any third party social media sites (i.e. Facebook) we may collect information made available, such as name and email. Additionally, we may collect other information regarding geolocation and travel interests if necessary to enhance your experience with us.

    Non-Identifying Information: Whenever you visit our WebApp, we may collect non-identifying information, such as your time zone, geolocation data, referring URL, browser, operating system, mobile device information, carrier information, cookie information, usage, data transferred, and Internet Service Provider, from your IP address or third-party analytics tools.

    Location Information: We may use the geolocation data as shared by your browser to determine your location and use if for the purpose of marketing and analyzing customer information. Location Information allows us to periodically determine your location, including your location relative to and within third party merchant locations.

    Transaction information: Customers that choose to purchase services offered by ScoutMyTrip provide us (and our payment processors) with billing details such as credit card information, billing email, banking information, location at the time of transaction and/or a billing address.
    The transaction data may be processed for the purpose of supplying the purchased services and keeping proper records of those transactions. This data may be used for the purpose of delivering the Services to you. Collecting this information is required for performing the contract we entered into with you, at your request (our Terms of Service) cf. GDPR art. 6 (1) b. Additionally, this information needs to be retained in order to comply with accounting and tax regulation cf. GDPR art. 6 (1) c.

    Device Information: We collect certain information from your device, which may include information specific to your mobile device, desktop, laptop, tablet or any other device (e.g. make, model, operating system, advertising identifier, and similar information).

    Cookie Information: We use cookies, small files placed on the hard drive of your computer, to save your preferences and track your ads. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of our WebApp. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to our WebApp.

    Usage Information: When you as a user interact with the WebApp, we collect metadata to provide additional context about the way the WebApp is being used. The usage data may include your IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views and website navigation paths, as well as information about the timing, frequency and pattern of your service use. The source of the usage data is our server software and our analytics tracking system.

    Product Analytics data: WebApp logs clicks when you as a user interact with our websites or apps, when you visit a page, room or have a conversation. We will never collect or record the content in conversations.

    Technical log data: Like most digital services, our servers automatically collect information when you access or use our Websites or Services and record it in log files. This log data may include the Internet Protocol (IP) address, the address of the web page visited within the Services, browser type and settings, the date and time the Services were used, information about browser configuration and plugins, language preferences and cookie data.
    The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interests cf. GDPR art. 6 (1) f, namely using this data for the purpose of ensuring the proper administration of our website and business, analyzing the use of the website and services, monitoring and improving our website and services, improving the user experience, preventing abuse, and assisting users with support inquiries.     Customer Support Information: We may process information that you send to us, should you chose to submit a ticket to our support email. If you contact us, we may use your Account, Transaction or Usage Information to respond.
    Collecting this information it is required for performing the contract we entered into with you, at your request (our Terms of Service), as well as our legitimate interest of handling your requests cf. GDPR art. 6 (1) f.

    Product & Marketing communication: We may process information that you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to our email newsletters. You can opt in to emails such as digests, newsletters, and activity notifications through your account's "Profile > Settings" page.
    The notification data may be processed for the purposes of sending you relevant product information or newsletters. The legal basis for this processing is your consent cf. GDPR art. 6 (1) a.

    Service and transactional notifications: Sometimes we'll send you emails about your account, service changes or new policies. You can't opt out of this type of "service or transactional" emails (unless you delete your account).
    The legal grounds for collecting this information is that it is required for performing our commitment about communicating changes in plans and pricing to you in the contract we entered into with you, at your request (our Terms of Service) cf. GDPR art. 6 (1) b, and our legitimate interest of communicating important information about your account to you, cf. GDPR art. 6 (1) f.

    Correspondence information: We may process information that you choose to share with us if you participate in a focus group, contest, activity or event, apply for a job, interact with our social media accounts or otherwise communicate with ScoutMyTrip.
    The correspondence data may be processed for the purposes of communicating with you and record-keeping. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interests cf. GDPR art. 6 (1) f, namely the proper administration of our website and business and communications with users


      We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information:

      • To enhance or improve our users' experiences.
      • To understand how you use our Service.
      • To send you email newsletters and respond to inquiries.
      • Provide user support, which may be provided by us or our third-party business partners.
      • To register your account and allow you to use our Service.
      • To email you third-party offers.
      • Carry out other purposes that are disclosed to you and to which you consent.

      We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.

      We disclose your personal information to contractors, service providers and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential, to comply with applicable laws, and to use the personal information only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.

      We also share your personal information to third parties to market their products or services to you if you have not opted out of these disclosures. We contractually require these third parties to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them. These third-party business partners may share the personal information with their own third-party business partners and use the personal information either for themselves or on behalf of their own business partners to:

      • Operate and improve their services.
      • Provide you with advertisements and information for products and services while you use our Service or on other apps or websites based on variables such as your location, and assess your level of engagement with them.
      • Carry out other purposes that are disclosed to you and to which you consent.

      Throughout the course of our provision of our Services to you, we may delegate our authority to collect, access, use, and disseminate your information. It is therefore necessary that you grant the third parties we may use in the course of our business the same rights that you afford us under this Privacy Policy. For this reason, you hereby agree that for every authorization which you grant to us in this Privacy Policy, you also grant to any third-party that we may hire, contract, or otherwise retain the services of for the purpose of operating, maintaining, repairing, or otherwise improving or preserving our website or its underlying files or systems. You agree not to hold us liable for the actions of any of these third parties, even if we would normally be held vicariously liable for their actions, and that you must take legal action against them directly should they commit any breach of this Privacy Policy.

      You agree that we may disclose your personal information to authorities if compelled to by a court order. Additionally, you agree that we may disclose your personal information if we reasonably believe that you have violated a law or the terms of our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy or if we believe that a third party is at risk of harm. In the event that we receive a notification affecting your privacy, we may elect to notify you to give you an opportunity to respond, or we may attempt to respond it ourselves, but we are not obligated to do either. We may also proactively report you and release your information without receiving any request to third parties where we believe that it is proper to do so for legal reasons, such as instances where we believe your publications violate any law of India. You release us from any damages that may arise from or relate to the release of your information to a request from law enforcement agencies or private litigants. We may release your information under the conditions listed in this paragraph whether it is to individuals or entities and to any state or legal authorities within India.

      We may also disclose personal information to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of ScoutMyTrip’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by ScoutMyTrip about our WebApp users is among the assets transferred.


    ScoutMyTrip may post links to third party websites on our Site or Service, which may include information that we have no control over. When accessing a third party site through our WebApp, you acknowledge that you are aware that these third party websites are not screened for privacy or security issues by us, and you release us from any liability for the conduct of these third party websites.

    Please be aware that this Privacy Policy, and any other policies in place, in addition to any amendments, does not create rights enforceable by third parties. ScoutMyTrip bears no responsibility for the information collected or used by any advertiser or third party website. You must review their Terms of Service and Privacy to understand how their information collection practices work.


    Some content or applications, including advertisements, on the WebApp are served by third-parties, including advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers and application providers. These third parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use our website. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content.

    We do not control these third parties' tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

    2. Google Analytics

      You can opt out of interest-based ads by Google through Ads Settings. When you opt out, you may still see ads, but they will not be related to factors such as your interests


    We use best efforts to keep your personal information secure by using SSL certificates. However, we make no guarantees as to the security or privacy of your personal information. It is in your best interests to safeguard your personal information and to use firewalls, anti-virus, spyware and other encryption methods when submitting personal information or content to us.

    Your web browser may transmit a “Do Not Track? (DNT?) signal. Because of differences in web browsers’ default settings and the manner in which browsers incorporate DNT signals, it is sometimes unclear to site operators whether site visitors have selected the DNT setting themselves, or whether they are aware that they have a choice in determining the setting. We do not currently respond to DNT signals. Once the Internet industry has settled on standards related to this issue, we may reevaluate this approach.


    Our WebApp is not intended for children under 13 years of age. You must be 13 years or older before using our Service. If you are under 13 please stop using our Service immediately and do not submit any information to us.


    Your information may be stored, transferred to - and maintained on - computers located outside of India, or where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in our jurisdiction since we are hosted on cloud servers.


    Personal data that we process for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or those purposes.

    We will retain your personal data as follows:

    • Transaction information will be retained for a minimum period of 5 years following date of the transaction, and for a maximum period of 10 years following the date of the transaction.

    In some cases, it is not possible for us to specify in advance the periods for which your personal data will be retained. In such cases, we will determine the period of retention based on the following criteria:

    • Account information, Trip information will be retained until you decide to delete your account or delete a trip in WebApp.
    • Information about you used for Product & Marketing communication will be retained as long as you have given us consent to use this information.
    • The period of retention of usage information will be determined based on the need for historical data to determine statistical validity and relevance for product decisions and technical monitoring.

    Regardless of the provisions above, we may retain your personal data where such retention is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject, or in order to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of another natural person


    If you have an account on the WebApp, you can access, modify or export your personal information in Settings, or request us to delete your account. If you choose to delete your account, your information and content will be unrecoverable after that time. You may instruct us at any time not to process your personal information for marketing purposes, (by adjusting your Privacy settings). We may withhold personal information that you request to the extent permitted by law.


    As an individual you are granted rights according to the applicable data protection law:

    • The right to access to your personal data
    • The right to rectification of your personal data
    • The right to object to and restriction of our processing of your personal data
    • The also right to be forgotten; erasure of your data

You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable e-mail address for you, and for periodically visiting our WebApp and this privacy policy to check for any changes.
