There are stringent safety measures in place, so all you have to do is experience the adrenaline rush! The operators will also offer rest areas so you can recuperate and relax after your jump, and have some refreshments before continuing your adventure holiday. You have to be at least 12 years old to do it, so the excited teens in your family group will also be able to participate and will not feel left out in your trip plan to Rishikesh. 2. Longest River Rafting in India

River rafting, also known as white water rafting, is a great experience for adventure enthusiasts. It is done on the river Ganga and is the longest river rafting offering in India. Avoid going during the monsoons as the operators are not functional, for security reasons. It’s good to try this activity from September to May, and the best time is from September to November. The most exciting place to go for river rafting during your trip plan to Rishikesh is at Shivpuri. The town of Shivpuri is around 30 minutes away from Rishikesh and is easy to get to during your trip by roads.

Even if you’ve never done river rafting before, you needn’t worry. All rafting expeditions are done under the supervision of the instructors. They will guide you at every step to ensure that you are safe and will have a good time. There are options for traversing longer stretches or shorter ones. If you are a beginner who has never done this before or are trip planning with family, you may want to try the shorter stretches first.

Average Cost: Ranges from INR 700 – 3000, with a general price of INR 1200

Zip lining is to be done under expert supervision, and the operators are very stringent about safety measures. The zip line here is over one km. Once you’ve been harnessed in, you can fly from one end to the other. Anyone, even with no prior experience, can enjoy this breathtaking view of the river Ganga.
